Every month is a month for love – hearts, flowers, poems, sweetness, kindness and chocolate, too – but February gives us an actual day to celebrate our love for others.  Three cheers for Valentine’s Day!

Since nothing says love like chocolate cookies, homemade and from the heart, here’s my pick for this month’s #cookiesandkindness: Valentine’s Day Share-A-Heart.  #cookiesandkindness is all about sharing and this cookie was created especially for that: it’s a big heart that you can share with those you love.  Put it on the table and nibble away.

You can find the recipe here along with a description of the dough – the quick version is that it’s not just delicious, it’s a pleasure to work with and it lends itself to all kinds of cut-outs and decorations.

Here’s where you can learn more about #cookiesandkindness.  I hope you’ll bake these hearts – or any other cookies that you like – and post them with the hashtag #cookiesandkindness  Tag me @doriegreenspan so I can see what you’re doing – I love getting a peek at what you’re up to.
