Let’s Bake! Help Cookies For Kids’ Cancer Meet Its $250,000 Challenge Grant

Greetings from the road. I’m traveling to celebrate the release of Dorie’s Cookies and I’m hoping that I’ll see you while I’m crossing the country on tour (sans back-up band).

Those of you who know me know that I believe in the goodness of cookies and the kindness of the bakers who make them. And you know that I also believe in a non-profit organization that I’ve supported since its inception: Cookies for Kids Cancer, which funds research into treatment for pediatric cancer. C4KC has granted over $10 million to research and the majority of that money came from bake sales! Never underestimate the power of a cookie!

HERE’S THE BIG NEWS:

Cookies For Kids Cancer has received a $250,000 challenge grant and I’ve teamed up with them to make sure that we meet that challenge before December 31st. This means that every dollar donated will be doubled! Of course, I want you, dear cookie-bakers, to help us. This is going to be good and it’s also going to be fun.

HERE’S HOW YOU CAN BE A GOOD COOKIE:

REGISTER your event here. In the dropdown menu under “How did you hear about Cookies for Kids’ Cancer,” choose “Dorie Greenspan” to receive a FREE Bake Sale Starter Kit with everything you need to brand your event from stickers, to treat bags to donation jars and more! Host a bake sale, cookie swap or other fundraising event in your community.

SET GOALS: When you raise $1,000, you’ll receive a FREE signed copy of my new book, Dorie’s Cookies. When you raise $2,500 you will receive a signed copy AND be entered for a chance to win A DAY OF BAKING with me!

MAKE IT SOCIAL! – Of course I LOVE this one:

Bake a recipe from Dorie’s Cookies and post a picture to social media (Instagram and Twitter are great for this). Tag @Cookies4Kids (you can tag me too: @doriegreenspan) and include the hashtag #DoriesCookies and you’ll automatically trigger a $5 donation to Cookies for Kids’ Cancer.
