Last year, Liam’s mom organized the first Cookies For Kids’ Cancer bake sale, where, with the help of more than 250 volunteers, 96,000 cookies were baked and sold in just three weeks. The sale raised over $40,000 and the money put a new treatment on the fast track.
This year — but only until December 17 — you can order these life-saving cookies. The flavors are: Chunky Chocolate Chip, Liam’s Lemon Sugar Cookies and Chewy Oatmeal Raisin.

You may remember when I told you about the launch of Do-Goodies, the Greyston Bakery brownies that support a network of charitable programs. Well, in honor of National Brownie Day (it’s today!), Greyston is starting a month-long contest called “All Good Deeds Get Rewarded”.
Beginning today and running through January 8, 2009, the first ten people to send in an email explaining a good deed and how it helped a group, community or person, will receive brownie points redeemable at the bakery’s online store. The grand prizewinner will receive a three-month supply of Do-Goodie Brownies, a signed Greyston Bakery book and a factory tour (the factory’s in suburban New York — so this is for Tri-State residents). What a delicious incentive to be good and do good.
Emails should be sent to www.dogoodiebrownies.com
