I hope that everyone had a good holiday and, more than that, I hope that this new year will be a good one for you and for everyone around you.  Of course I also hope it will be sweet!

It was wonderful to see all the baking and sharing over the holidays.  So many delicious acts of #cookiesandkindness!

For January, I’ve chosen an unusual recipe, one that’s more grown-up, that would be just what you’d want if you were sitting by a fire or wrapped in a throw and reading.  It’s a cookie that teeters between sweet and savory.  While there’s certainly sugar in the recipe, there are equal amounts of olive oil and white wine, making this cookie as right with tea as with wine, white or rosé, still or sparkling.

If the cookie seems familiar to some of you, it might be because you’ve seen it in Baking Chez Moi.  You can get the full recipe here.
